Tyler McIntyre made a significant impact in his one season with the UConn Avery Point baseball team in 2010, helping the Pointers reach the finals of the NJCAA College World Series. An All-New England performer, he smacked a school single-season and career record 20 home runs. Six of those longballs came at the College World Series, which set a new tournament record and earned him a spot on the All-Tournament Team. McIntyre continued his collegiate career at Central Connecticut State and was a multiple All-Conference performer. He later played professionally after CCSU. McIntyre was inducted into the UConn Avery Point Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016.
