Hall of Fame
A driving force behind the first-ever Avery Point squad to qualify for the NJCAA World Series, Jeff Clark made his presence felt on the mound and as a position player. He earned All-America honors in his sophomore campaign and was drafted in the 20th round of the 2000 draft by the San Francisco Giants. He spent seven years in the organization and earned California League Pitcher of the Year laurels in 2002. Clark notched a 15-5 mark on the hill with a 2.57 ERA and 140 strikeouts during his time at Avery Point, while also posting a .371 batting average with nine home runs and 68 RBI. He returned to Avery Point to serve as an assistant coach for almost a decade and was a member of the coaching staff on the 2010 National Runner-Up squad. He was inducted into the UConn Avery Point Athletic Hall of Fame in 2013.
