Hall of Fame
The first Pointer in program history to be named a two-time All-American, Jason Drobiak led the Pointers to their first-ever College World Series berth in 1999. At the conclusion of his career at Avery Point, he was the program’s career leader in hits, doubles, home runs and total bases and the single-season leader in hits, at-bats and total bases. Drobiak was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in 1999 and played eight seasons of professional baseball. He was a Midwest League All-Star in 2003. Drobiak was inducted into the UConn Avery Point Athletic Hall of Fame in 2013.
