Hall of Fame
Allan Garray left an indelible mark on the UConn Avery Point baseball program and was its career and single season batting average leader. He batted .536 in 1976 and also posted the second best single-season totals for hits and RBI. From there, Garray continued to Storrs, where he was a member of the Huskies’ program for three seasons (1977-79) and a starter for the 1979 College World Series team. He posted a combined .291 batting average in his three seasons in Storrs. Garray later signed with and played in the Kansas City Royals organization. He was inducted into the UConn Avery Point Athletic Hall of Fame in 2001.
