Hall of Fame
Andrew Walker was a two-time All-New England outfielder for the Pointers in 1985 and 1986. After making an impact at Avery Point, Walker continued to Storrs, where he was a team captain and All-Big East Tournament Team selection. He set a new single-season hit record at UConn and a batting average of .366. Walker later played professionally in Holland and also returned to serve as an assistant coach for the Pointers. He was inducted into the Avery Point Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014.
