UCONN Avery Point

Myles Halliwell's ties to Avery Point go back to 1975-77, when his son Tom, played for legendary Coach George Greer. In all, he’s impacted Avery Point with nearly two decades of service as an announcer and statistician for the baseball team, as well as a shot clock timer for both basketball teams. Halliwell is a 1952 Fitch High School graduate, 1981 Mohegan C.C. graduate and a 23-year Air Force veteran. He had a successful coaching career as the Fitch High School JV Baseball Coach from 1984-2007, and Assistant Coach in three Fitch State Championships: 1987, 1990 and 2005. He was inducted into the Avery Point Sports Hall of Fame with the Service Award in 2012.
