UConn Avery Point Men's Basketball Announces 2025–26 Season Schedule

GROTON, Conn. – The UConn Avery Point Men's Basketball team has officially released its 2025–26 schedule, featuring a competitive slate of regional opponents, key conference battles, and a postseason path leading to the NJCAA National Tournament in March.

The Pointers open their campaign with a home contest, tipping off against Massasoit on November 4. The early part of the schedule is highlighted by a string of home games against Mass Bay (Nov. 18), and Holyoke (Nov. 21), providing fans plenty of opportunities to see the team in action.

The road schedule includes pivotal contests at Bunker Hill CC (Nov. 6), Springfield Tech (Nov. 13), and Quincy (Nov. 15), as the Pointers look to establish momentum in the first month of play.

Conference play intensifies in December with matchups against New England CC, CCRI, and Quinsigamond, before the team closes the calendar year at home against Roxbury on December 13. After the holiday break, Avery Point resumes action on January 7 hosting Southern Maine CC.

The second half of the season is packed with marquee games, including home dates against Bunker Hill (Jan. 20), Quincy (Jan. 30), Springfield Tech (Feb. 3), and Quinsigamond (Feb. 10). Road challenges include Bristol (Jan. 23), CCRI (Feb. 6), Holyoke (Feb. 17), and Massasoit (Feb. 20), rounding out a strong divisional slate.

Postseason play begins with the NJCAA Region 21 Quarterfinals on February 25, followed by the Final Four (Feb. 28–Mar. 1). The season culminates with the NJCAA Division III National Tournament, hosted by Herkimer College on March 12–13.

Head Coach Duane Witter starting his second season expressed excitement about the schedule, stating:
"This year's schedule is very competitive. We're eager to test ourselves against some of the top programs in the region and continue building toward postseason and national success."
