Box Score Groton, Conn. – The Avery Point basketball team cruised to victory Saturday afternoon defeating the Springfield Tech Mustangs by a final score of 73-47
Freshman Syncere Gray (New London, CT) led all scorers with 21points. Freshmen Lucas Strain (Griswold, CT) and Trevor Buchanan (Bolton, CT) each chipped in with 12 points.
The Pointers took an early 23-8 In the first 8 minutes and pushed their lead upto as 27 in the first half. They enjoyed a 21 point lead heading into the half up 44-23. The Pointers never looked back as the came out at half and stormed an 8-0 run ballooning their lead by 29.
