Athletic Department has successful fall in the classroom

UConn Avery Point Athletics Posts Strong Fall Semester Academic Performance

Groton, Conn. — The University of Connecticut Avery Point Athletic Department continued its commitment to academic excellence during the Fall semester, posting a department-wide grade point average of 3.15.

Several programs highlighted the strong academic showing, led by the baseball team, which recorded an impressive 3.24 team GPA. Fifteen baseball student-athletes achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher, reflecting the program's dedication to success both on the field and in the classroom.

The men's basketball team also demonstrated solid academic performance, earning a 3.02 team GPA for the semester. Ten members of the team finished the fall with GPAs above 3.0, underscoring the program's emphasis on balancing athletics with academic responsibilities.

"These results reflect the hard work, discipline, and commitment of not only our student-athletes in the classroom but also our coaching staff's and academic support services," said Travis Beausoleil, the UConn Avery Point Athletic Director. "We are proud of their achievements and the culture of academic accountability across our programs."
