The University of Connecticut Avery Point is excited to announce the return of the UConn Avery Point Golf Tournament, set to take place on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the renowned Shennecossett Golf Course in Groton. 

All proceeds from the tournament will directly benefit the UConn Avery Point Athletic Department, which does not receive direct funding from the University. The department relies on community support, facility rentals, and events like this tournament to fund athletic programs and provide student-athletes with competitive and educational opportunities.

"This tournament is more than just a day of golf—it's a chance for the friends, families and alumni of Avery Point athletics to come together and support the continued success of our athletics department," said Director of Athletics, Travis Beausoleil. "We are thrilled to bring alumni and supporters of the department, last year 38 alumni came back and playerd and the tournament sold out! We are looking forward to an incredible day at Shennecossett."

The tournament will feature a traditional 18-hole scramble format, with registration, raffles, and an awards dinner at historic Branford House on the Avery Point Campus following play. Local businesses and individuals are encouraged to participate, sponsor a tee, or become a primary event sponsor to support the cause.

Sponsorship opportunities include:

• Tee Sponsorship – $100: Business or individual name/logo displayed on one hole

• Primary Event Sponsorship – $500+: Premier signage, public recognition, and more
