The 1st Avery Point Golf Tournament was a massive success bringing in nearly $15,000 for athletics at Avery Point.

34 alumni returned to golf in the tournament highlighted by former Coach/AD and the Godfather of Avery Point athletics Roger Bidwell. 
Fomer Major League infielder John McDonald golfed with his son. Jeff Clark and Jay Drobiak were both MLB draft picks out of Avery Point and played multiple years in professional baseball. 

The day combined a great round of golf at an amazing golf course, dinner back at the amazing Branford House Mansion on campus, a lot of reminiscing and some great stories!

We hope the 2026 Avery Point Golf Tournament will be even better!
