Box Score The Avery Point baseball team picked up their second win of the season dominating SUNY Rockland in their penultimate game of their spring break trip down in Orlando, Fl.
Jumping out early the Pointers plated 2 in the top of the 1st, but thanks to some sloppy defense, they dropped down 7-2 after the first frame. The Pointers didn't quit though and added a 7-spot of their own in the top of the second, reclaiming the lead for good.
The Pointers would go on and add 5 in the 4th inning, 8 runs in the 6th inning and 3 more insurance runs in the top of the 7th with a mercy rule in place and defeating Rockland by a final of 25-10.
Sophomore Elian COllado (New Britain, CT) plated a career high 6 RBIs as he had a pinch hit, bases loaded triple in the top of the 4th. Freshman
Spencer Stahl (Middletown, CT) had 3 hits and reached base 4 times, scoring each time. Freshmen
Roman Hausmann (Danbury, CT) and
John Bureau (East Lyme, CT) also chipped in with 2 hits a piece.
The Pointers will finish their spring break trip on Thursday at 9:30A in Auberndale Fl. vs Moraine Valley CC.
