Associate Head Coach Nick Davis is a UConn-Avery Point Alumni (‘98-’00) and a graduate of Bacon Academy in Colchester. He joined the women’s basketball coaching staff during the 2015-16 season. As a student-athlete at Avery Point, Coach Davis averaged 24.5 ppg, 56.6% three-point shooting, and was a Second Team All-American.
He also held several career records with a single game high of 52 points, 12 made 3-pointers in a game, 148 made 3-pointers in a season, was a 1,000 point scorer, and led the nation in 3-point shooting in both his freshman and sophomore years.
As a high school athlete at Bacon Academy (‘94-’98), Coach Davis was an All-COC selection for basketball, soccer and track. As a senior, he led the conference in every statistical category in basketball. He played three years of semi-professional basketball with the Harlem Magicians as a point guard.
Coach Davis has experience coaching with The Slamma Jamma Basketball Camp and The Hoop Academy Basketball Camp. He is the owner of Nick Davis Designs Inc. and Renovate LLC, and has been a licensed contractor for nearly 20 years.
He currently resides in Groton with his wife Bibian, and his sons Andrew and Ayden.
