The UConn Avery Point Men's basketball team earned their 1st win of the season as they cruised past the Monroe Mustang out of New Rochelle.
Trailing early the Pointers locked in on defense and was able to take the lead going into the half 36-33. Out of the break the Pointers dominated every facet of the game and cruised to victoyr 87-71. Sophomore
Jeff Souvenance scored 17 points but was the catalyst of energy as he got everyone excited with a huge dunk followed with a big backboard block on the opposite side of the court. Sophomore
Jaden Walker led all scorers with 18 and freshman
Naz Russell chipped in with 12
The Pointers get a few days off and will head to Springfield Technical Community College on Thursday Nov 13th at 7:30P.
