Due to a barrage of injurioes that have plagued the Avery Point women's basketball team, the remainder of the winter season has been canceled.
The Lady Pointers finish the season at 1-1 with a thrilling overtime win vs Bunker Hill Community College to open the season. Freshman, Natalah Williams averaged 37 points per game in the short season, while freshmen
Monet Augmon and
Ava Collins contributed 12.5 and 10 PPG respectively.
Senior Natalie Williams, a tri-athlete, joined the squad at 44 years old and provided a burst of energy to the team, while also offering a depth of leadership to the youthful group. Sophomore, Sam Post returned for her 2nd campaign and contributed the most minutes on the team.
The Pointers look to return on the court next season and expect to compete for a Region XXI Championship and hope to best their 2019 finish, where they finished 3rd in the country!
