Rally comes up short as Pointers fall to CCRI

Souvenance has 18 in tough luck loss

Groton, Conn. — The UConn Avery Point men's basketball team came up just short in a thrilling home matchup on Tuesday night, falling to the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) by a score of 75–72.

UConn Avery Point's Jeff Souvenance delivered an impressive performance, leading all scorers with 19 points while sparking multiple comeback efforts throughout the game. Despite CCRI building a lead as large as 16 points, the Pointers refused to fold.
