PORTLAND, Maine - Avery Point swept their doubleheader with Southern Maine Community College in Portland, Maine. They won game one 2-1 and game two 5-0. With the wins Avery Point improves to 22-8 on the year.
In game one
Tiernan Powers got the win. He struck out seven batters in six innings while giving up one run.
Keegan Daigle got the save.
Malcolm Mention,
Andrew Lozier and
Vance Ward all collected hits.
Liam Chamberlain got the win in game two. He threw six innings striking out four and allowing no runs.
Jaden Echevarria had the go ahead RBI double in the 6th inning to break the game open.
The double header tomorrow at Washington Park has been postponed for a later date.
